2011 Annual MJBL Awards Luncheon

 The Daryl Steen Trophy is awarded annually to the League Champions, determined by the outcome of the playoffs. For the 2011 MJBL season, the trophy goes to the Carillon Sultans who triumphed over the finalist Altona Bisons squad in August. Congratulations to the Sultans players, coaches and organizers!

The Vic Bozyk Trophy is awarded annually to the League Batting Champion. For 2011, Scott Peters of the Altona Bisons earned the honour with a .446 batting average in 100 plate appearances and 74 at bats. While posting that average, he also tied for the league lead in RBI's (21), received 20 walks, struck out only 4 times, scored 23 times and spread out 33 hits, including 5 doubles, 2 triples and a home run; the second-highest count in the "Total Bases" category at 45! He also added 5 stolen bases while registering the highest "On Base Percentage" (.577) among players qualifying for the award.
